My Bio

AntwoinetteAyers is the Communication Director for the IAMESTL Magazine and CEO of Visual Movements. She is a Community Partner and Coordinator for small businesses, a Steering Committee Member for The Winstanley Development, and Visionary Life Coach from East St. Louis, Ilinois. Antwoinette is proud to join SIUE Truth Racial Healing and Transformation Campus Center.

Antwoinette believes in collaborating as a community despite, Cultural background, Religion, Status, and/or gender. She believes healing from the uncomfortable truth of impoverished Black communities' trauma and economic forbearance. Her goal is to create a plan that operates leading with inclusion implementation and wealth access. She is committed to building the bridge for East St. Louis locally and globally.

Antwoinette Ayers worked as Communications Intern under the direction of Larry Perlmutter at Rise Community Development. A nonprofit housing developer, development consultant, and predevelopment lender in St. Louis Missouri. Antwoinette's’ most compelling experience was comparing the opportunities and access provided to surrounding cities of her hometown East St. Louis and evaluating the alarming deficit of home equity, land deprivation, economic growth, technology, and lack of educational resources. Differing form, a walk over the bridge to St. Louis and an everyday worker commute. Contradicting her city caption “The City of Champions” but minimum visual representation upon arrival. This eye-opener gave Antwoinette the motivation to become a community activist and change agent.

Antwoinette has a B.A. in Communication and an Emphasis in Interpersonal Communication with a certificate in Artificial Intelligence in 2024 from University Missouri of St. Louis. She also carries a certification in for the Fundamentals of Economic Development through Umsl and ULI Urban Land Institute. In addition to that Antwoinette was training through Media and Diversity Production in St. Louis and Certified by Kauffman Foundation for Entrepreneurial Development.
